Dr. I-F Wang and Dr. H-Y Chang pioneered a breakthrough approach to unraveling the prion-like mechanism of low complexity disease-causing proteins in conformational diseases and normal aging, and discovered the potential first oral drugs for functional restorations of misfolded disease proteins. Soon later, they co-founded Garage Brain Science and now collaborate with NIH, INSERM and NTUH on biomarker discovery and new drug development with unique insights in prion-like biology. Dr. C-H Ting is involved in generating the first SMA disease mouse model.
